Caution:
When mounting this device in a rack, do not stack units directly on top of one another in the
rack. Each unit must be secured to the rack with appropriate mounting brackets. Mounting
brackets are not designed to support multiple units.
Warning:
Disconnecting the power cord is the only way to turn off power to this device. Always connect
the power cord in a location that can be reached quickly and safely in case of an
emergency.
Voltage:
Ensure that you remove the proper amount of insulation from copper wires when installing
the terminals (lugs). Ensure that there are no exposed wires.

To reduce the risk of fire, use only number 26 AWG or larger UL Listed or CSA Certified
Telecommunication Line Cord for all network connections.

ensure you provide DC power through either a fuse or DC circuit breaker with a maximum
rating of 12 amps.

The fan is essential for maintaining optimal system operating temperature. If you plan to
replace the fan tray while the system power is on, ensure you have another fan tray ready
to insert immediately. Watch the fan status LED for alerts.
Electrostatic alert:

To prevent damage from electrostatic discharge, always wear an antistatic wrist strap
connected to an ESD jack when connecting cables or performing maintenance on an
Advanced Gateway 2330. Ensure that the wrist strap makes contact with your skin.

Always handle interface modules by the edges, or by using the levers, where applicable.
