The following sections describe the features provided by the MEFM.
Security
The MEFM provides the following security features
• Limited user access - only users who have logged in with a correct password may use
the MEFM system. An administrator will have full access to all the features of the system.
• Secure web access - SSL will be used between the web clients and the web server.
• Encryption - encryption will be used for passwords and other confidential information
stored on the server.
Scheduler
The scheduler feature is used to schedule downloads of software either to the Avaya 3900
Series Digital Deskphones or the EXPEC. Current status of all scheduled jobs will be available
from the web client. Scheduled jobs will be kept in a "database" until they are executed.
Web interface
The web client will have the following functions:
• user login
• ability to add:
- file server
