Avaya P130 User’s Guide

Reset Commands

Reset Command

Use the 

reset

 command to restart the P130 switch. You must type the command in 

full.

The syntax for this command is:

reset {

<mod_num>

}

Example:

P130-1# reset
This command will force a switch-over to the master module and
disconnect your telnet session.
Do you want to continue (y/n) [n]? y
Connection closed by foreign host.

Nvram initialize Command

Use the 

nvram initialize

 command reset the P130 parameters to the factory 

defaults. If no options are specified for this command, only the Layer 2 parameters 
will be reset.

The syntax for this command is:

nvram initialize {switch | all}

Example:

P130# nvram initialize
This command will force a factory default and switch-over to
the master module and disconnect your telnet session.

Connection closed by foreign host.

Number of the module to be restarted

Resets all the switching level parameters (Layer 2 
only)
