PKT-INT (Packet Interface)
Issue 1 May 2002
8-1263
555-233-143
Running this test on the active IPSI circuit pack’s Packet Interface circuit reads
and clears the Parity Error counter and FIFO Overflow counter. Those counters
are not used when an IPSI’s Packet Interface circuit is in standby mode.
Running this test on the standby IPSI circuit pack’s Packet Interface circuit, reads
but does not clear a Translation RAM counter. The Translation RAM counter is
not cleared since the number of bad translations RAM locations indicates bad
locations that cannot be used. For an active Packet Interface circuit, information
about the number of bad Translation location is sent to maintenance software as
an in-line error from the circuit pack so it is not necessary to read a counter
location.

ABORT
The IPSI circuit pack’s Packet Interface circuit is out of service, so normal
maintenance tests do not run on the circuit pack.
1. Enter the reset packet-interface Uc command to reset the Packet
Interface circuit. For repair procedures, see
,
the Packet Interface Reset test.

ABORT
Internal IPSI error. The test is on standby IPSI’s Packet Interface circuit, so
this test is not allowed to execute.
1. To run this test on the standby Packet Interface circuit, enter set
ipserver-interface Uc to activate it.

1. Retry the command.
NO
BOARD
The IPSI circuit pack’s Packet Interface circuit is administered, but is not
detected as being physically present.
1. If the IPSI circuit pack is present, replace it.
2. If not, insert a TN2312AP IPSI circuit pack in the administered slot, and
rerun the test.
