RM1/RM2 Drive Unit Replacement

Before printing, consider the environment 

 

 

 Tools required: 

-     3mm hex driver 

(for Tweeter replacement)

 

-

 

5mm hex driver 

(for Woofer replacement) 

 
Replacement parts: 

-     RM1 130mm LF driver or 
-

 

RM2 170mm LF driver or 

-

 

RM1/RM2 HF driver 

 

Please note

 that if you claim any of the replacement parts as 

warranty replacements, you will need to return the part(s) as soon 
as possible, properly packed to avoid shipping damage (which 
will automatically void warranty). Warranty status will be 
confirmed after analysis at PMC Ltd within approximately 6 
weeks. 

 

Replacing the LF (pictures left) or HF (pictures right) driver

Place the unit on a smooth surface (use a towel or foam underlay to avoid scratches). 
Tilt the unit by 90 degrees, so it rests on its back panel

Remove the  hex screws that hold the driver in place:

Remove the aluminum ring off the LF drive unit:

CAREFULLY

 tilt the speaker back in its upright position. Hold the driver unit back in 

place with one hand (it will fall out otherwise!) Once the speaker is standing upright, 
remove the drive unit.
