PTZ Limits
Depending on where the PTZ camera is installed, you may want to limit the movement and zoom of the camera
so that obstructions are never in view. For example, if the PTZ camera is installed close to the side of a building,
you can set the limits so that the PTZ camera cannot move to show the wall it is installed against.
1. From the left menu pane, click
PTZ Limits
.
2. To limit the maximum movement range, you can do one of the following:
l
In the image panel, move the PTZ camera as far left as you want to display then click the
From
icon for the Pan Limit. Move the camera to the farthest point to the right and click the
To
icon.
Repeat this procedure for the Tilt Limit, only move the camera up and down. For information about
moving the PTZ camera, see
l
Below the image panel, you can set the Pan and Tilt Limit by adjusting the position of the two
black dots on each circle. The gray area shows the set degree of movement. The Pan Limit sets
the horizontal movement range and the Tilt Limit sets the vertical movement range.
3. To set the
Lens Zoom Limit
, enter a maximum zoom level.
4. To set the
Maximum Move Speed
, enter a maximum number of degrees per second.
5. To allow the camera to automatically correct the video image when the camera tilts more than 90°, select
the
