This winch is equipped with a permanent magnet motor and is designed for intermittent duty
winching. The winch is not designed to be used for industrial or hoisting applications and the
manufacturer does not warrant it to be suitable for such use.
The free spool clutch is operated by a pull and turn knob, which disengages the gearbox to allow the
nylon rope to be pulled out without using electric power. A tension plate presses the nylon rope to
reduce backlash and snarling when pulling out the nylon rope.

keep hands clear of wire rope, hook loop, hook and fairlead opening during
installation, operation, and when spooling in or out.

use extreme caution when handling hook and wire rope during spooling operations.

wear heavy leather gloves when handling a wire rope, and never let wire rope slip
through your hands.

stand clear of wire rope and load during operation, and keep bystanders away as
well. Do not try to guide the cable

be certain the anchor you select will withstand the load, and the strap or chain will
not slip.

use as an overhead hoist, or to suspend a load.

use to lift or move persons.

exceed the winch or wire rope rated capacity.

apply load to hook tip or latch. Apply load to only the center of the hook.

use a hook whose throat opening has increased, or whose tip is bent or twisted.

touch wire rope or hook while in tension or under load.

hook wire rope back onto itself.
