Gear selection (Fig. 2): This appliance with 2-speed gear units has
two speeds available (first gear: slow, second gear: fast). To
change from one gear to the other, turn the gear selection switch
180°.

Always reduce the speed when submerging the mixing tool in the
mixing material or lifting it out. Once the mixing tool is fully sub-
merged, increase the speed again to ensure that the motor is ad-
equately cooled.

During mixing you should guide the appliance around the mixing
container. Continue mixing until all of the mixing material is
completely mixed.

Carefully clean the mixing tool after you have finished your mix-
ing work.
MAINTENANCE

Always keep the appliance and mixing tool clean.

Always keep the ventilation slits clean so that the appliance can be properly cooled.

Before you carry out any operations on the appliance, including changing the mixing
tool, always pull out the mains plug first.

The appliance is equipped with self-deactivating carbon brushes. This means that the
appliance will shut itself down once a certain level of wear is reached. Have the carbon
brushes replaced by an authorized service center.
