Installation of the AWE Tuning performance exhaust
system is the reverse of the removal OEM exhaust.
Always refer to the manufacturer service manual for
precise torque specifications on all OEM fasteners.
To begin the removal process for the OEM exhaust, spray a
lubricant over the V
-
band clamps and rubber hangers. Driver
side rear hanger location shown by the arrow
in
Figure 1,
passenger side is in a similar location.
Loosen the mid section V
-
band clamp, shown by the arrow
in
Figure 2.
Support the rear muffler sections and remove each rubber
exhaust hanger from its post.
Tilt the inlet side of the rear section down and slide towards
the front of the car to remove. Be careful not to damage the
exhaust tip pockets mounted on the bumper.
