3. Configuration
This chapter describes the configuration procedure.
3.1. NMU and Devices (Master & EP) Configuration
The EoC 20-01 Master is used to manage all connected EoC 20-2 Endpoints.
Each EP is identified by its built-in EoC MAC address. The EoC MAC exists only in EoC (coax) domain, and is
unaware for any EP end-user in Ethernet domain.
System manager needs NMU IP address and NMU Ethernet MAC address to access EOC 20-01. Each EOC 20-
01 device should be stamped with both NMU Ethernet MAC and EoC Master MAC for identification.
3.1.1. Firmware/EoC/WiFi Driver Files
EOC 20-01 flash ROM is capable of storing the following files:
∂
System bootcode (NMU bootloader)
∂
System firmware (NMU firmware)
∂
EoC Master driver (resides at EOC 20-01)
∂
EoC EP driver
∂
EP WiFi driver
Upgrade NMU firmware
‘Upload’ the new firmware file onto EOC 20-01 Upload Area, it will take effect after EOC 20-01 reboot.
Upgrade EoC/WiFi Driver
To upgrade the above item 3~6, you need to follow the 2-stage procedure. First to ‘Upload’ the file onto EOC
20-01 Upload Area, then do the real upgrade by ‘Upgrade’ it on demand. Refer the following section entitled
“Example to Upload then Upgrade Driver” for more detail.
