3.9. EP Settings
To configure the G.hn(include Ethernet) properties of EP device, click on each EP’s ‘
Config
’ button on the
‘
Devices
’ Window to configure its settings.
3.9.1. Note (G.hn:Note)
Note for the EP (for example the user name or room number).
3.9.2. Coax IP Address and Subnet Mask(G.hn:Coax)
Assign the IPv4 net for EP for diagnosis. For the measurement, the master and the slave must be given the
same "SNR Measure" IP address.
3.9.3. Notch Filters(G.hn:Notch)
Include factory default Notches and user defined Notches.
3.9.4. Port Setup (G.hn:Port)
To configure built-in Ethernet port properties, include speed, flow control, and maximum
downstream/upstream rate (bandwidth control) of port LAN1/LAN2/WiFi/EoC.
Service and Speed/Duplex
Change ‘
Service
’ to ‘On’ (enable) or ‘Off’ (disable) per port. This setting open or close the related port in EP.
And default setting in field ‘
Speed/Duplex
’ is ‘
Auto
’ states for auto-negotiation. Set port EoC ‘
Service
’ to
‘Off’ will disable the EP also (same as “Host Limit” is 0), none host is allowed to access the network through
this EP.
Rate Limit per EP
Limit the maximum allowable downstream/upstream bandwidth of EP. This is hardware based bandwidth
control to throttle traffic. EP's EoC port is the main entrance toward the coax trunk. By throttling only the EP's
EoC port, the up/down bandwidth per EP is enforced.
