SNA

Restoring Factory Default Settings

If you  have disabled all network protocols, you may have to restore 
the CD-ROM server factory default settings to be able to 
communicate with the server. This is most easily done using FTP on a 
TCP/IP network:

Follow the steps below to restore thedefault settings:

1. Log in to the Axis CD-ROM server with the command 

ftp 

<host name> 

where 

<host name>

 is the name assigned in 

your system host table.

2. You will be prompted for user id and password. Use the user id 

root

, which has the default password 

pass

 (

root

 is the user id 

with the highest priority).

3. Issue the command 

get defaults

  to restore the default 

settings. The unit will then automatically restart. 

4. Log out using the command 

quit

bye

 or 

exit

 depending on 

your FTP version.

If you do not have access to a TCP/IP network with FTP, your dealer 
can help you restore the factory default settings.
