Extending the RAM Memory
This section describes how to increase the performance of your
StorPoint CD by adding extra memory.
The basic 2 Mbytes of RAM can be increased up to 32 Mbytes. The
extra cache memory will speed-up data flow rates, especially when
several users are accessing the same CD-ROM.
Memory Modules
For the memory extension, you will need 72 pin SO-DIMM modules
(no parity). The modules may be either 4 Mbyte or 16 Mbyte in size.
You can add one or two expansion modules. If you add two memory
expansion modules, they must be of equal size.
This table outlines alternative RAM memory configurations for the
StorPoint CD:

If the total memory extension is limited to 4 Mbytes, the
StorPoint CD continues to use the original 2 Mbytes RAM. If the
total memory extension exceeds 4 Mbytes, the original 2 Mbytes
RAM will no longer be used.
