5. Shutting Down the Generator
- Disconnect all appliances connected to the generator.
- Set the ON/OFF switch (3) to position "O".
- Close the petrol cock(24)
6. Overload cut-out for AC socket outlet
IMPORTANT! The generator is fitted with an overload cut- out.
This shuts down the 230V~ socket-outlets (7). You can restart the 230V~ socket-outlets (7)
by pressing the overload cut-out (6).
IMPORTANT ! If this happens, reduce the electric power you are taking from the generator
or remove any defective connected appliances.
7. Overload cut-out for DC socket outlet
IMPORTANT! The generator is fitted with an overload cut- out for DC socket outlet.
This shuts down the 12V d.c outlet (10). You can restart the 12V d.c outlet (10)
by pressing the DC overload cut-out (28).
IMPORTANT! If this happens, reduce the electric power you are taking from the generator
or remove any defective connected appliances.
IMPORTANT!
Protection against electrical shock depends on circuit breakers (overload cut-
outs) specially matched to the generating set. If the circuit breakers require replacement,
they should be replaced with a circuit breaker having identical ratings and performances
characteristics. If repairs are necessary, please contact your customer service center.
MAINTENANCE
• Good maintenance is essential for safe, economical and trouble-free operation. It will
also help reduce air pollution.
• The purpose of the maintenance and adjustment schedule is to keep the machine in the
best operating condition.
• Turn off the engine before performing any maintenance. The exhaust contains poisonous
carbon monoxide gas. Please always select recommended accessories. The accessories
which have not equivalent quality may damage the machine.
• Please never use non-approved components and never remove the safety devices.
CAUTION!
• Always stop the engine before servicing, and disconnect all appliances to avoid receiving
an electrical shock.
• Periodic checks and maintenance are very important for keeping the generator in good
condition
1. Changing the Spark Plug (Fig.13)
CAUTION: Allow the engine to cool before removing the spark plug. Before any
maintenance work always switch off the engine and disconnect from mains power.
- Check the spark plug (item 27) for dirt and grime after 20 hours of operation and if
necessary clean with a copper wire brush. Thereafter service the spark plug after every
50 hours of operation.
- Pull off the spark plug boot with a twist.
- Remove the spark plug with the supplied spark plug wrench set (14).
-Assemble in reverse order.
