The Hopper U- I I  has full and em pt y det ect ion sensors. 

Em pt y de t e ct ion . 

Em pt y det ect ion is carried out  by a phot ocell ( phot odiode and phot ot ransist or)  t hat  is locat ed in 

t he holes at  t he bot t om  of t he coin bay.  

The phot odiode em it s a beam  of light  t hat  is det ect ed by t he phot ot ransist or when t here are no 

coins in t he hopper. When t he coin level is low er t han t he height  est ablished for t he phot ocells, 

t he cont rol board det ect s t his and advises t he m achine.
