4. Operating Instructions
Please read and save these important safety instructions.
Cutting Blade.
The user will experience cutting ease with a sharp
blade. Keeping the cutting blade sharp will allow people with
physical limitations less hand fatigue. In order to keep the blade
ever sharp you will have to rotate or change the blade. To remove
or change the cutting blade you must follow the directions or injury
could result.
Changing the Blade.
Each
cutting blade
corner is marked with a
1, 2, 3, and 4. Adapt-A-Cut® blade will begin with #1 corner. As
cutting becomes difficult you should change the blade to #2 corner.
•
Work over a flat surface away from children
. Loosen
the
blade screw
with the
allen wrench
provided. Remove
both the screw and
blade cover
to expose part of the blade.
•
Gently push the exposed part of the cutting blade up to
allow the blade to slide out through the
blade slot
.
•
Carefully remove blade, turn to the next numbered corner.
•
Replace the blade into the
blade slot
. Be sure the cutting
corner goes through the
paper shelf
of the
main body
and
the middle hole in the cutting blade lines up with the brass
insert.
•
Secure the blade by replacing the
blade cover
and
tightening the screw. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Over
tightening may break the allen wrench, strip the screw, or
cause damage to the tool.
