4.5. Seat height
The seat height can be adjusted to your requirements in just a few
steps. Driving wheel and steering wheel must be in the same position
in each case. TOP – MIDDLE – BOTTOM.
4.5.1. Hight of driving wheel
•
Take the driving wheels off using the quick-release axle. (Fig. 22).
•
Loosen the fixing screws (Allen screw 4 mm) on the bottom (Fig.
12).
•
Position the armrest in short, standard or long and tighten the
screws again.
•
Adapter AT THE TOP means minimum seat height.
Adapter AT THE BOTTOM means maximum seat height.
•
Insert the screws back into the adapter and tighten the srews.
4.5.2. Hight of steering wheel
After changing the height of the driving wheel, the steering wheel has
to be put in the same .
•
Loosen the axle (Allen key, SW 10) and take it out completely. (Fig
20).
•
Place the steering wheel in the right position for the required seat
height
•
Reinsert the axle into the steering fork and tighten it up again.

4.6. Wheelbase
The Pyro Next is supplied with a short wheelbase as standard. Extending
the wheelbase increases the stability and equilibrium of the wheelchair.
•
Remove the drive wheels (Fig. 22).
•
Loosen the screws on the adapter (Allen screw 5 mm and ring
spanner SW 10) and pull them out completely (Fig. 18).
•
Position the adapter according to Fig. 21, with the seat height
adjusted if necessary.
•
Reinsert the screws into the adapter and tighten them up again.
4.7. Quick-release axle
The Pyro Next comes with quick-release axles as standard.
The quick-release axles allow the wheels to be fitted and removed easily.
•
Press the locking button of the quick-release axle with your thumb
and pull off the wheel (Fig. 22).
•
When refitting the wheel, simply push the wheel back onto the
mount. At the same time, press in the locking button as well.

When the wheelbase is changed, it is absolutely
essential to adjust the knee lever brake afterwards.
When fitting the drive wheels, make sure that the
quick-release axle is inserted right up to the stop.
After attaching, check that the wheel is securely
fixed by pulling it towards you without operating
the locking button of the quick-release axle.
