Blind Hemming
Your Baby Lock Acclaim can create a sturdy, nearly invisible
b lind h em .
1. Set the machine for 2-Thread Overlock-Narrow with the
right needle threaded. Set the stitch width at 5.0 and the
s t it c h leng t h at 4 . 0 in t h e s t and ard rang e.
2. Fold up the hemline and press it in place. Then fold the hem
allow anc e b ac k ag ains t t h e f ab ric rig h t s id e t o c reat e a f old
about 1/4 “ from the top edge of the hem as shown (fig. A).
3 . A lig n t h e f old und er t h e pres s er f oot and s t it c h , allow ing t h e
needle to catch only a thread or two of the soft fold.(fig. B)
T h e b lad e w ill t rim t h e t op ed g e of t h e h em and t h e loopers
will overcast the edge for a clean finish.(fig. B)
4. Open the fold and press flat. (fig. C)
