Replacing LED Lighting
Your Baby Lock will operate at best performance if it is kept clean at all times.
The serger’s cutting action creates much more lint than you will find on conventional sewing machine.
Your serger’s major moving parts are well protected and do not need to be oiled.
However, we recommend that you use the cleaning brush often during garment construction in order to
k eep lint of f t h e b lad es , t h e need le b ar, t h e f eed d og m ec h anis m and loopers . I f m ac h ine need s t o b e oiled ,
check with your nearest Baby Lock retailer for use of high grade recommended sewing machine oil.
TO REMOVE NEEDLE PLATE PROCEED AS FOLLOW:
1. For safety reasons, unplug main power cord.
2 . R ais e and rem ov e pres s er f oot .
3. Select stitch length dial to rolled hem setting.
4 . R em ov e need les f rom need le c lam p.
5 . T urn your h and w h eel unt il t h e upper looper is in t h e f ar rig h t pos it ion.
6 . T o rem ov e t h e need le plat e, rem ov e f ront s c rew w it h s c rew d riv er and b ac k s c rew w it h A llen w renc h .

7. With your right hand, first raise the needle plate in front of the blade. Pull slightly to the right, then
rem ov e t o t h e lef t .
8 . R eplac e in rev ers e proc ed ure.
9. Finally, position the needle plate so that the needles lower in the center of each hole on the needle
plate. (fig.B)

Your Baby Lock Acclaim is equipped with long-life LED lighting system, which is not necessary to
c h ang e b ulb s .
In case of replacing LED unit, please contact your authorized Baby Lock retailer.
