Sew a 1/4" seam allowance. Red lines mark 1/4"
and 1/8" pivot points in front of and behind the
needle.
Sew with edge of fabric at the edge of the 1/4"
quilting foot "RE". To pivot 1/4" from end of fabric;
when fabric edge reaches the first red mark on
foot stop sewing with needle in the down position.
Note:
Group 3-C pattern 02, is 1/4 inch from
the right edge of "RA" foot and pattern 04, is
1/4 inch from the left edge of "RA" foot.

Patchwork stitching
You can duplicate the look of a hand quilted
stitch by using monofilament thread in the needle,
50 to 60 weight cotton thread in the bobbin, and
increasing the needle tension.
The needle tension will need to be determined
by the thickness of your batting.

Using the straight stitch needle plate
The straight stitch needle plate and 1/4 inch quilting
foot "RE" provide the best possible support and
guiding of the fabric during stitch formation. (For
example: when patchwoking)
When using the straight stitch needle plate, the
needle must always be in center position. Group 1-
APattern 1 is the only stitch pattern that can be
used with the straight stitch needle plate.
Only the stitch length adjustment button can be
selected while using the straight stitch needle plate.
