Securing High-Back Booster Seat in Vehicle
12.2 Installation with LATCH System
If a LATCH attachment system is not available or will not be used, go to
next section.
1. Adjust Recline Foot into the fully extended
position. Pull out on the Recline Handle
while pressing down on the Recline Foot
and lift up on the front of the Car Seat.
(Fig 58-1)
2. If vehicle seat back is adjustable, adjust
into the upright position or the position
or the position specified in the vehicle
owner’s manual for use with a Car Seat.
3. Extend LATCH Connectors by pressing
the LATCH Extend Button on each side
as shown. (Fig 58-2)
4. Place the booster seat in a forward-
facing, LATCH equipped vehicle seat.
5. Attach the LATCH Connectors to the vehicle
LATCH lower anchorages, pull to check that LATCH
Connectors are securely attached. (See section 10.1)
6. Attach the Tether Strap and tighten. (See section 10.1)
5. Pull the strap ends through the back of
the seat and thread the straps up and
over the upper cross-bar as shown.
The straps MUST be threaded over
the cross-bar to function correctly. (Fig
57-1) DO NOT use the Car Seat if the
harness strap is not properly installed.
6. Hook the looped ends of the harness strap to the Harness Connector
Plates. (Fig 57-2) Ensure that the straps are securely connected to
the connector plates. DO NOT use the Car Seat if the harness strap
is not properly installed.
