INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed, 
including the following:

To reduce the risk of electric shock:

1.     Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.
2.   Do not use appliance while bathing or in a shower.
3.    Do not place or store appliance where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink. 

Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.

4.   Always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after 

using.

5.   Unplug this appliance before cleaning or putting on or taking off parts.

1.   Do not pull, twist, or wrap line cord around appliance. Continuous stress 

on cord can damage cord insulation and result in shock. 

2.   This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with 

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and 
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning 
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

3.   Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4.   Keep out of reach of children.

5.   Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is 

not working properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped 
into water. Return the appliance to a service center for examination and 
repair.

6.  An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. 

7.   This appliance should not be used by, on, or near children or individuals with 

certain disabilities.

8.   Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.  

Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.

9.  Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
10.  Never operate the appliance with the air openings blocked, or while it is on a 

soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. 
Keep the air openings free of lint, hair and the dust.

11. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
12.  Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used, 

or where oxygen is being administered.

13.   Do not use this appliance with a damaged or broken comb, as facial injury may occur.
14.  To disconnect, turn all controls to “O-OFF,” then remove plug from outlet.
15. Do not place the appliance on any surface while it is on.
16. Avoid skin contact with moving blades.
17.  Be mindful of tangles or kinks in the cord. If the cord does become tangled 

during use, turn the unit off and straighten cord before operating again.

18. Keep lubricating oil away from children and pets (see warning on the oil tube).
19. Keep the appliance dry.
20.   If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its 

service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
