MAINTENANCE
• You must routinely use the following cleaning procedures
to ensure that your humidifier works properly and effectively.
Good maintenance is essential to ensure the long-term
use of your humidifier and to prevent bacteria forming in
the water inside the tank, and existing in suspension.
• Before cleaning, always unplug the humidifier and ensure
that it has cooled down completely. The humidifier can
be cleaned easily with a soft, slightly dampened cloth or
sponge. Leave it to dry naturally. Never immerse the base
in water or any other liquid.
• Regularly clean the water tank (using a bottle brush for
example). Use a mixture of bleach and water to clean the
water tank. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry
naturally. Never use detergent to clean a humidifier part
that is designed to hold water. A cloud of detergent
dissolved in water could interfere with the vaporisation of
your humidifier.
• Regularly remove the base. Pour 250 ml of undiluted
vinegar into the base. Leave this solution to act for 20
minutes, during which time you should clean all internal
surfaces with a soft brush. Using a soft brush, gently scour
all the parts around the transducer. Be careful not to apply
direct pressure to the transducer. Then empty the solution
into the sink. Rinse with clean, hot water.
• Never use a caustic substance, solvent or abrasive
substance for cleaning: they could damage the humidifier
and its walls.
• Before putting it away, empty the tank of water and remove
the water remaining in the main casing. Ensure that all
the parts are completely dry. Leave the cap unscrewed
to prevent the joint from sticking to the tank.
COMMENTS/PROBLEMS
• Vaporisation will automatically stop when the tank is empty.
At this point, the indicator will flash red and the water
filling icon will also flash.
• To prevent calcium deposits, distilled water should be used.
• From time to time, check that the air inlet, located under
the main casing, is not blocked.
• If the humidifier does not work, you should check that:
- the cable is properly plugged in to the power supply socket
- the steam intensity control switch is turned on
- the water tank has been properly replaced on the base
- there is sufficient water in the tank
• As soon as you remove the water tank from the main casing,
the transducer stops and steam is no longer produced.
• Careful: empty the water tank if you do not intend to use
your humidifier for two or three days; this will prevent the
formation of bacteria.
