This manual is the property of Bad Bike; any reproduction, even partial, is forbidden.

E

Keep the battery charged by charging it even after a short use.

The battery can be charged in place or it can be removed and charged elsewhere (avoid outdoor places and/or exposed to
bad weather).

The battery can stay connected to the charger which will autonomously manage the charge and stop the electric current
supply when maximum charge is reached (the battery has no “memory effect”).

ATTENTION

Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or to high temperature.

Suggestion/Battery

When  you  stop  and  you  lower  the  kickstand,  leaving  your  Bicycle  unattended,  exclude  the  engine  contribution
(engine button on the display switched to “OFF”). We also suggest to inactivate the power supply of the battery
switching the key (on the battery) to “OFF”.

Exclude  the  engine  contribution  (engine  button  on  the  display  switched  to  “OFF”)  even  when  you  move  your
Bicycle manually.

Battery duration and charge indicator:

Each Bad-Bike model is provided with a battery charge output indicator.

This indicator can vary according to the display (it varies from model to model): in some cases the residual charge is shown
on the display, in other it is shown directly on the battery.

Irrespective of the display used, the indicators show the residual charge of the battery: if they are all on, it means that the
battery is fully charged. While using your Bicycle, the indicators will gradually turn off, as the battery runs out.

The  maximum distance you can reach  with a  fully charged battery may  vary depending on different  factors  such as, for
example, street conditions, slope, rider’s weight, wind direction, and, mainly, the usage of the engine. Continuous stops
and  starts  reduce  significantly  the  charge  of  the  battery.  Therefore  the  maximum  distance  indicated  on  the  Bicycle  is
indicative only.

The Bicycle is equipped with a mechanical gear selector: therefore, it is advisable to change the ratio according to the type
of road. A proper use of the gear ratio helps march optimization and hence it reduces battery consumption.

7.2 Gearbox/Transmission

The Pedal-Aided Bicycle has a Shimano chain drive transmission with Rapidfire gear-shifting levers.

The chain moves to a different sprocket at every gear.

The gear can be changed only while riding.

The gear ratio is different in the two types of Bicycles:

City Bike

 and

Sport Bike

.

City Bike (Shimano 7 speed).

The gear-shifting in City Bike is shown in the pictures.

The  button  triggers  the  gear.  In  this  way  there  is  a
switch to a bigger spool (lower ratio).

The lever triggers the gear. In this way there is a switch
to a smaller spool (higher ratio).
