NOTE:
The engine oil should be between the minimum and the maximum level mark.

If the engine oil is not between the minimum and the maximum level mark, add sufficient
oil of the recommended type to raise it to the correct level.
NOTE:
Be sure the engine oil is at the correct level, otherwise engine damage may result.
6.
Insert the dipstick into the oil filler hole and then tighten the engine oil filler cap.
7.
Install the side cover.
To change the engine oil (with or without oil filter replacement)
1.
Place the ATV on a level surface and raise it up with lift or jack.
2.
Start he engine, warm it up for several minutes and then turn off.
3.
Place an oil pan under the engine to collect the used oil.
4.
Remove the engine oil drain bolt and its gasket to drain the oil from the crankcase.
NOTE:
Dispose of lubricant in accordance with local regulations.

Skip the steps 5-7, if the oil filter cartridge is not being replaced.
5.
Remove the left internal fender.
6.
Remove the oil filter cartridge with an oil filter wrench.
7.
Apply a thin coat of engine oil to the O-ring of new oil filter.
8.
Install the new oil filter with an oil filter wrench and then tighten it to the specified torque
with torque wrench.
Tighten torque: 17.6 Nm or 13 ft. lb (180 kgf/cm)
9.
Install the engine oil drain bolt and its new gasket and then tighten the bolt to the specified
torque.
Tighten torque: 22.5 Nm or 16.5 ft. lb (230 kgf/cm)
10.
Refill with the specified amount of the recommended engine oil and then install and
tighten the engine oil filler cap.
Oil quantity:
Without oil filter replacement: 3.6 quarts (3.5 L)
