RemovethetopStyrofoamandplasticcovers�
c. Remove black
thumbscrew
and remove the front cover.
4. Turn ice maker
ControlSwitch
to the OFF position.
The
ControlSwitch
is located at the bottom of the
ControlBox
on the upper right side of the ice maker.
5. Pour the required amount (suggested by manufacture for 5 gallons) of
scaleremoverfor
into the 5 gallon
bucket, and fill to within 4 inches of the top with water using the hose access at your sink.
6. Pour the other half of the
scaleremover
into the ice maker reservoir.
7. Turn ice maker
ControlSwitch
to the
WASH
position - Keep in the Wash position for at least 1 hour (
ifyou
havenotcleanedyouricemakerregularlyyoumayneedto
washforalongerperiodoftime
)
8. Return ice maker
ControlSwitch
to the
OFF
position.
9. Disassemble ice plate assembly.
10. Remove the black hoses from the
flowtubes
-
heldinplacewithasnap-fitlockthatcanbereleasedby
gentlysqueezing�
a. Pull out
flowtubes
by angling downward.
b. Place in the cleaning bucket after you remove.
10. Remove the plastic
waterguides
on top of the
ice
platechannels
and
place in the bucket.
11. Clean each groove of the
iceplates
using an
Elongatedcleaningbrushes
.
Take care not to scratch the
IceMakingPlates
as this can cause
ice to stick to the
IceMakingPlates
during ice
production.
12. Remove the
plasticcap
at the bottom of the
Float valve to verify that the
floatValve
is not
sticking. If the
FloatValve
is sticking, remove,
clean, and place in the bucket.
Make sure
you keep the power connector dry
. The
power connects into the
icemakercontrolboard
.
Both the connector and the
controlboard
connector
are black .
13. Clean the
icemakingplatechannels
with the
elongatedcleaningbrushes
and
3/16”stainlesssteelrod
and a toothpick, rinse and replace.
a. Use a 3/16” stainless steel rod to
scrape residue in the small return
tube.
b. Use toothpick to insure that all the holes are open and clear.
14. Clean Solenoid Screen
a. Remove screws from the Solenoid Housing

Remove plastic cap
Keep power connector dry
Styrofoam cover
Plactic cover
Remove plastic cover
Hoses & flow tubes
Disconnect hoses
Flow Tubes
Remove at an angle
