Table 5-20: Power Control Parameters
Parameter Name
Description
Total Tx Power
Transmit power of the reference signal
Power Ramping
Power ramping value used to determine PRACH transmission
power when re-transmitting the preamble during a Random
Access Procedure, in dB.
Options: 0, 2, 4, or 6 dB
Preamble Init Target
Power
Initial power of PRACH, in dBm.
Options: -120,-118,-116,-114,-112,-110,-108,-106,-104,-102,-
100,-98,-96,-94,-92,-90 dBm
Po_nominal_pusch
Parameter:

(
PUSCH
O_NOMINAL_
P
See TS 36.213 [5.1.1.1]. This field is applicable for non-persistent
scheduling only.
Range: -126 to 24 dBm
Po_nominal_pucch
Parameter:
PUCCH
O_NOMINAL_
P
See TS 36.213 [23, 5.1.2.1].
Range: -127 to -96 dBm
alpha
Power control loss compensation factor, which controls the UE
power.
Options:0,40,50,60,70,80,90,100
Target ul sinr
Desired Signal-to-Interference-Plus-Noise Ratio (SINR) level at
certain path loss. When the UE’s path loss is determined and
the uplink SINR detected by L1 is below this target value, the
eNB will increase the transmit power of the UE by sending the
TPC.
Range: 0-255, representing -64 dBm to 63.5 dBm in steps of 0.5
dBm
pa
Power boosting the reference signal is allocated to UEs on a
dynamic and opportunistic basis. The relative PDSCH power is
determined by two computed parameters: P
A
and P
B
. Traffic
loading must be balanced with controlling interference to
neighboring cells. PA is defined in 3GPP 36.213, chapter 5.2
Downlink power allocation.
Options: -600, -477, -300, -177, 0, 100, 200, or 300
pb
See description for
