Input Tube DC Balance
While most good quality 6922 tubes will work in the VK-P10SE wihout problems, some
tubes may fail to achive the conditions required for unit’s proper operation. Such tubes will
be identified and rejected by the VK-P10SE’s DC Balance circuit.
The DC Balance circuit in your unit performs two functions:

It sets the circuit DC balance to its proper value
-
It gives the indication of a particular tube set not meeting the acceptance criteria.
There are two red LED indicators located on the circuit board next to the capacitors C121 and
C221 for the left and right channel, respectively.
Under normal condition these LED’s would be OFF, indicating proper circuit operation.
If a particular pair of tubes fails to meet the performance criteria, the LED for that channel
will turn on. In that case one or both of the 6922 tubes for that channel will require a
replacement.
