ARDAN SHAFT INSTALLATION
After connecting the machine to the tractor, connect the cardan shaft to the tractor's power take-off
(this operation must be carried out with the engine off and the tractor key disengaged).
Before using the cardan shaft, read the attached Use and Maintenance
Manual. If the cardan shaft supplied with the machine is not used, check that
the machine and tractor guards overlap the cardan shaft guard by at least the
quota prescribed by current regulations (50 mm).
Clean and lubricate the power take-off.
Grease the cardan shaft periodically in accordance with the cardan shaft
Manufacturer's instructions (see Use and Maintenance Manual for the cardan shaft).
Observe the installation direction of the cardan shaft prescribed by the Manufacturer and
indicated on the outer cover of the guard (tractor drawing on the outer shaft tube towards the
tractor's power take-off).
Attach the anti-rotation chains.
Ensure that the anti-thread safety lock (button or ring) is correctly inserted and locked in its slot.
ATTENTION!
Check the direction of rotation and that the speed setting of the tractor's power
take-off is at 540 rpm, as the machine is designed for this speed.
ATTENTION!
The cardan shaft must always be connected last to the tractor's power take-off
and disconnected first at the end of processing.
Only CE-marked cardan shafts should be used for the correct and safe operation of the machine.
Only use cardan drive shafts with intact guards.
When the cardan shaft is disconnected from the tractor's power take-off, it must ALWAYS be placed on
the appropriate support.
The
BALFOR s.r.l.
company is not liable for damage caused by incorrect assembly and use of the
cardan drive.
