Emergency power supply
The emergency power supply is active if the basic device
is switched on for at least 30 minutes. This means that the
basic device is also supplied with power for up to ten
seconds when replacing the battery, meaning it is possible
to change a battery while the application is running.
The removal of the battery is detected and a message is
sent to the operating system. This message can be used
by the applications to save important data. The display is
blacked out. The display is active again once the battery
has been reinserted.

Changing the battery

Destruction of the basic device or the charging and
transmission box
The use of unauthorized components may lead to the
destruction of the basic devices or the charging and
transmission box.

Only use batteries approved by Balluff.

Remove the battery if the basic device is not used
for a prolonged period.
If the battery is to be changed while an
application is running, the basic device must be
switched on for at least 30 minutes

Remove the battery
1.
To remove the battery, remove the hand strap (bottom)
by simple unhooking.
2.
Open the battery cover by pressing the lock towards
the battery area.
3.
Remove the battery.
Insert the battery
1.
Insert the battery downwards into the battery
compartment at an angle.
The contacts of the battery must be aligned with
the contacts of the device.
2.
Fold the battery down so that the lock engages.
3.
Rehook hand strap.
