deselected for writing using the pencil icon at
the upper right side.

6.7.3 Read and write data with CRC enabled
A CRC check can be performed on the data carriers of the
BIS L and BIS M systems.
A CRC check is an error detection technology commonly
used in digital networks and storage devices to detect
accidental changes to raw data.
If the CRC check fails, the app indicates this fact. It is then
not possible to read out the data carrier. If the data carrier
passes the check, it can be read out and written to. Only
the storage space is reduced in comparison due to the
storage of the check bytes.
CRC checking must be enabled in the app’s settings and
then initialized on the data carrier (unless the data carrier
has already been initialized on another system).
