4.2 

Function

The gateway sends data from a BCM sensor via mobile 

radio (LTE, 2G) to a cloud (MS Azure). The interface of the 

BCM to the gateway is an IO-Link. The gateway can be 

operated via an external power supply unit with 24 V, as 

well as with rechargeable batteries.
The gateway is part of the 

Portable Monitoring System

 for 

quick and easy monitoring of machines and plants. All 

components required for condition monitoring are 

integrated: BCM sensor, mobile gateway and the 

visualization software (see 

Accessories

 on page 14). 

Thanks to the rechargeable batteries integrated in the 

gateway and data transmission via mobile radio, data can 

be recorded flexibly and portably. In addition, the data 

stored in the cloud can be accessed from anywhere and 

the plants can thus be monitored remotely.
