Setting
There are two calibration methods:
−
Standard-Setting: Normal calibration procedure
(default). This setting is for light-on switching only.
−
Use Fine Setting only if the standard method does not
achieve the desired results, i.e., if the distance between
object and background is very short. Fine setting allows
both light-on and dark-on switching to be implemented.
Teach in
Standard Setting (for light-on switching only):
Light-on means the sensor’s output is active as soon as
the object is detected.
1. Position the background or object you wish to
suppress.
2. Press and hold down the SET button until the bi-color
LED goes out.
3. Release the SET button and wait until the bi-color LED
flashes green. The sensor is now ready.
Fine setting (for light-on or dark-on switching):
Light-on and dark-on require different calibration
procedures.
A.
Calibration procedure for light-on:
1. Position the object you wish to detect.
2. Press and hold down the SET button until the bi-color
LED flashes green.
3. Release the SET button.
4. Position the background you wish to suppress in the
beam path.
5. Press and hold down the SET button until the bi-color
LED goes out.
6. Release the SET button. The sensor is now ready.
B.
Calibration procedure for dark-on:
Dark-on means the sensor’s output is active as soon as
no object is detected.
1. Position the background you wish to suppress in the
beam path.
2. Press and hold down the SET button until the bi-color
LED flashes green.
3. Release the SET button.
4. Position the object you wish to detect.
5. Press and hold down the SET button until the bi-color
LED goes out.
6. Release the SET button. The sensor is now ready.
