OPERATING DESCRIPTION
Installation instructions:
•
Ignition devices are safety devices. Their tampering voids the
warranty and releases the manufacturer from any liability.
•
The system is designed to stay fully operational for less than 24
hours (non-permanent system).
•
As this threshold is reached, a regulation stop is triggered to allow
the equipment to verify its efficiency.
•
Connect and disconnect the equipment only when voltage is off.
•
Before installing or replacing the equipment, make sure the type,
time interval and code are those foreseen.
•
The system in which the devices are installed, must provide an
adequate protection against electrocution risks (at least IP20).
•
The remote reset button must be installed close to the system, to
allow it to be clearly visible during the reset.
The burner operates fully automatically: it is activated by switching on
the main switch and the control panel switch.
If when the main switch is turned on, the thermostats are on, the
voltage reaches the control box which starts the burner.
This turns on the fan motor for pre-ventilating the combustion chamber.
The ignition transformer then comes on, and 2 seconds later the gas
valves open.
The presence of the flame, detected by the control device, permits
continuation and completion of ignition, turning off the ignition
transformer.
If there is no flame, the appliance goes to “safety lock-out” mode within
3 seconds of the opening of the first flame on the main valve.
In “safety lock-out” mode the valves are closed again immediately.
To reset the equipment from its safety position, press the red button
on the equipment.
“VPS 504” VALVE TIGHTNESS CONTROL (IF PRESENT)
It checks the tightness of gas cut-off valves.
This check is carried out as soon as the boiler thermostat authorises
burner operation creating, by means of a membrane pump, an
overpressure greater than the upstream pressure by 20 mbar in the
test circuit.
If you wish to carry out a check, place a pressure gauge corresponding
to the PA pressure plug.
If the test circuit has a positive result, the LC authorisation lamp (yellow)
switches on after a few seconds.
In order to restart, it is necessary to unlock the equipment using the
LB light button.
The fuse can be accessed using a screwdriver to remove the cover
that is located near the sockets for electrical connection; a spare fuse
is located in the upper part of the tightness control, under the cap.
