ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
It is advisable to make all connections with flexible electric wire.
The electric lines should be at an adequate distance from hot parts.
Make sure that the electric line to which the unit will be connected
has frequency and voltage ratings suitable for the burner. Check
that the main line, the relevant switch with fuses (essential) and the
current limiter (if required) are capable of withstanding the maximum
current absorbed by the burner.
For more details, see the relevant wiring diagrams for each single
burner.
CONNECTING THE BURNER
TO THE GAS SUPPLY PIPE
After you have secured the burner to the boiler, remember that
the burner head must penetrate the combustion chamber to
the extent prescribed by the boiler manufacturer. Connect
the burner to the gas pipe.
We advise you to install a twin-flange
coupling on the pipe as close as possible to the burner, to facilitate
the opening of the boiler hatch and/or the dismantling of the burner.
Before you connect this coupling, with due precautions and with
doors and windows open, vent the air in the gas pipe. The tightness
of the pipe fitting should be checked before switching on the burner.
(LIqUId) FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM
The burner pump should receive fuel from a feed circuit which has
an ancillary pump and, in some cases, a pressure regulator capable
of modifying the pressure value from 0,5 to 3 bar (see drawing
0002901120). In this case, the fuel supply pressure to the burner
pump (0.5 ÷ 3 bar) must not change both with burner off and on at
the maximum fuel output required by the boiler. Normally this circuit
can be carried out without pressure regulator, following the diagram
shown in drawing no. 8666/3. The supply circuit must be carried out
according to our diagrams.
The pipe dimensioning must be carried out according to the pipe
length and the flow rate of the installed pump. Our instructions cover
the basic requirements needed to ensure efficient operations.
All regulations to be observed concerning local anti-pollution laws,
as well as the prescriptions of local authorities should be referred
to in the relevant publications.
FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS TO
START A MIXED BURNER
It is advisable to first carry out the starting with the liquid fuel
because in this case the delivery is conditioned by the available
nozzle whereas the delivery of methane can be varied as you like
by working on its delivery regulator.
