having finished the adjustment for the three speed levels, exit
programming mode by pressing the SET key again for a few seconds
until the LEdS stop flashing. The set parameters for the three levels
are then stored.
In the event the SET key is not pressed, the inverter will automatically
exit programming mode after 30 minutes.
In working conditions, the LEd window, allows the operating status
of the burner to be displayed: if the burner is operating at maximum
or minimum power or it is in the ignition stage, the relative green LEd
lights up and a number of red LEdS according to the frequency of
the signal the motor is receiving in that moment which determine
its rotation speed.
To perform precise and adjustment frequency reading of the 3
speed levels, it is necessary to interface the inverter with the PC
by connecting them via the serial port using the appropriate cable,
which can be provided by the manufacturer on request.
storing tHe WorKing interVaL of tHe air
serVomotor
The inverter can receive an analog signal 0-10 V coming from the
potentiometer of the air servomotor that allows the modulation of
the rotation speed of the fan motor in relation to the gate opening
angle: the speed value will be between V1 (rotation speed to the
minimum modulation power rate) and V2 (rotation speed to the
maximum modulation power rate).
In order to make the inverter regulation more sensitive and more
precise, especially in case the angles alfa1 (air gate opening angle
to the minimum modulation power rate) and alfa2 (air gate opening
angle to the maximum modulation power rate) are rather near, a
function has been implemented to associate the voltage value 0
V to alfa1 and the voltage value 10 V to alfa2 when varying the
application. In this way, as in diagram 0002922810, the inverter
modulation line has a "gentle" slope independently of the angles
alfa1 and alfa2, so the regulation will be enough sensitive in every
burner working condition.
To carry out the storing of angles alfa1 and alfa2 after completion of
combustion burner adjustment, proceed as follows:
• Enter inverter programming mode and press SET key until Vs
and V3 flash simultaneously. Bring the burner to the maximum
rated output (air gate opening angle alfa2 and fan rotation speed
V2). Press just once + key, the green LEd V1 will light: now the
alfa2 angle is stored. Factory setting for alfa2=90°
• In programmi mode with Vs and V3 flashing simultaneously,
bring the burner to the minimum rated output (air gate opening
angle alfa1 and fan rotation speed V1). Press just once key -, the
green LEd V2 will light: now the alfa1 angle is stored. Factory
setting for alfa1=30°
having finished this operation, exit programming mode. The inverter
will adjust the fan rotation speed by using voltage between 0 V
(alfa1) and 10 V (alfa2) as input signal, as in diagram 0002922810.
inverter lock-outs and faults
If during burner operation, faults are detected in the inverter such as
overcurrents, overheating inside the board casing or a power supply
voltage drop, the inverter activates the emergency shutdown and
cuts power to the motor. In the event of an inverter lock-out, the cause
of the shutdown can be traced by reading the error code signalled
by the illumination of the relative LEd (see table 2).
To restart the burner after an inverter lock-out, it is necessary to
manually reset using the following procedure:
• Cut power to the burner
• Wait for around one minute to allow the discharge of the
electrolytic condensors fitted to the inverter. during the discharge
of the condensers the LEdS will flash rapidly.
• Once the LEdS have stopped flashing rapidly, this means that
the discharge of the condensers has finished, at this point restore
power to the burner and reactivate it.
