Positioning of the infrared adapter
Connect the IR 1 infrared adapter to an RS 232 interface (COM 1 … COM 16) on
the PC.
Next, place the adapter to the right of the SONOREX DIGITEC RC ultrasonic bath,
at a distance of 1 – 10 cm.
The infrared interface in the ultrasonic bath emits continuously toward the right, the
optimal distance between the IR 1 and the ultrasonic bath is approx. 7 cm.

Additional information can be found in the user instructions for the ultrasonic baths.
Notes:
• If a USB adapter that emulates an RS 232 interface is used, the manufacturer's USB
driver must be installed in advance.
• If one PC is used to control multiple SONOREX DIGITEC RC baths through multiple
infrared adapters, it is recommended that the IR adapters be manually labelled
with the number of the COM interface to which they are connected. This will greatly
simplify the allocation of programs to baths that is required later on.
• When using multiple SONOREX DIGITEC RC baths at the same time, it is also
important to ensure a suitable optical decoupling of the infrared connections. If
applicable, a screen must be placed between the baths for this purpose.
