Set-Up Code
The three-digit number that is used to program the remote control for your
particular manufacturer or brand of audio / video equipment. Set-Up Code
numbers are located in the table in the appendix, on pages 32 – 49 of the
instruction manual. Set-Up Code numbers are categorized by type of device, i.e.
Audio, Satellite, TV, V1, V2, CD, DVD, and Tape.
More than one Set-Up Code number may work with your device. You should test
the functions for each of the Set-Up Code numbers that work with your device to
determine the best Set-Up Code number for your particular device.
Note: Some Devices, such as CD players and DVD decks that do not have
POWER buttons on their original remote controls my not shut off during
programming. For these devices, it may be necessary to first store the Set-Up
Code number and then test functions like PLAY, STOP, etc., to determine if the
correct Set-Up Code number has been selected.
Transport Control
Buttons that correspond to the PLAY, STOP, FAST FORWARD, REWIND,
PAUSE, SEARCH / SKIP and RECORD functions on your audio / video
equipment.
