Table 36: X90PO210.08-00 - Technical data
1)
Because the PWM outputs can also be used as digital outputs, the specifications in the technical data for the PWM outputs apply to the digital outputs as well.
2)
Depends on the mainboard. For additional details, see the data sheet for the mainboard.
5.6.1.4 Operating and connection elements
5.6.1.4.1 X2X Link interface
Communication between the option board and mainboard is implemented using X2X Link.
5.6.1.4.2 Central cutoff
The enable signal (X1.A.C3) must be wired externally to the I/O power supply.
If the enable signal is interrupted, then the power supply for the power outputs is cut off.
5.6.1.5 Multifunction I/O channels
All 8 pins on the option board can be configured as digital inputs or outputs with current measurement.
5.6.1.5.1 Overcurrent / Short circuit cutoff
In order to be able to switch lamp loads, a brief inrush current is not permitted to result in a cutoff. Switching on
these types of loads simultaneously must be avoided through the application. The width of the circuit board trace
is designed for 4 A nominal current. In the event of short circuit, a peak current of 50 A is reached and the output
driver switches off automatically after max. 1 ms (driver in current limiting).
An overcurrent limit per channel can be defined using software. The default value is 4 A. The following current
values cause the affected channel to be switched off:
•
>1 x Maximum current (e.g. 4 A) for 1300 ms
•
≥1.5 x Maximum current (e.g. 6 A) for 500 ms
•
≥2 x Maximum current (e.g. 8 A) for 300 ms
•
≥2.5 x Maximum current (e.g. 10 A) for 100 ms
5.6.1.5.2 Summation current monitoring
The summation current is calculated in the software by measuring and adding together all output current values.
The following summation current values result in all channels being cut off:
•
>16 A for 1500 ms
•
≥18 A for 1000 ms
•
≥24 A for 500 ms
•
≥32 A for 100 ms
