Surfaces of components may become very hot during
operation. Contact of skin with hot surfaces causes seri-
ous burns to the skin.
• Do not hold any body parts in the hot air stream.
• Do not wear easily flammable clothing (e.g., materials
made from synthetic fibres, nylon).
• Only hold plastic parts of optical frames outside the
area being heated.
• Before removing the heat concentrator nozzle, ensure
that the surfaces have cooled down to ambient tempe-
rature.
• Wear gloves.

• Do not use or store any combustible materials near the
instrument, particularly acetone products.

2.5 Personal protective equipment
Personal protective equipment serves to protect people against hazards to their
safety and health while working.
The personnel must wear the personal protective equipment while working on
and with the device which is referred specially to in the individual sections of
these instructions.
The personal protective equipment is explained below:
Protective glove
Protective gloves protect hands from friction, abrasion,
puncture wounds, or deeper injuries, as well as from con-
tact with hot surfaces.
