Alerts send SNMP traps to your local network management system. Click on
Add Alert
to
create a new alert.
Once you select
Add
, you will be taken to a world map. Select the countries to be alerted of any
traffic.
Alerts have a number of settings:
● Activation Point
is the amount of traffic that may eventually trigger the alert.
● Activation Interval
is the amount of time, in seconds, that the traffic has to be excessive
before the alert is triggered.
● Re-raise timeout
is the amount of time delay before the Bandura Cyber TIG will trigger
an alert again.
Alerts require a network management system which support
Simple Network Management
Protocol
(SNMP) traps.
Things to consider before creating an alert:
● Do you consider an alert actionable? Will you investigate the cause of each alert?
● Will normal traffic trigger alerts?
