3.7.9.1 General Settings
This is where you add information that will identify the Bandura Cyber TIG and its administrator
to your network manager. These values will be read and displayed by the network management
software.
SNMP by default uses UDP port 161. If you change the port number here, you also must use
the same port value for this device in the network management system.
3.7.9.2 SNMP Users
SNMP
Users
are the network management systems that can access the Bandura Cyber TIG's
management data. SNMP versions 2c and 3 have different methods of allowing access, and
both systems can be used simultaneously on the Bandura Cyber TIG.
When adding a new
SNMP V2
user, add the network management system's "Community"
name. The Bandura Cyber TIG will only send management data to computers that belong to this
community. This system of identifying management systems is not secure, although it may be
adequate for many organizations. You can define more than one community on the Bandura
Cyber TIG.
