Final check after repair
Information
The final check after repair describes the activities needed to ensure that the
product is returned in perfect condition to the customer. The contents are:
- Insulation test
- Check product information
- Restore the setup and check connections
- Final cleaning of the product
Insulation test
Each set must be insulation tested after having been dismantled. Make the test
when the set is reassembled and ready to be returned to the customer.
Flashovers must not occur during the testing procedure!
Make the insulation test as follows:
Short-circuit the two pins of the mains plug and connect them to one of the
terminals of the insulation tester. Connect the other terminal to ground on one of
the screws on the DSUB9 socket.
! To avoid damaging the set, it is essential that both terminals of the insulation
tester have good contact.
Slowly turn the voltage control of the insulation tester until a voltage of 2.5 kV
and max. 10 mA is obtained. Maintain that voltage for one second, then slowly
turn it down again.
Product Info
The scope of this check is to ensure that the product has maintained the correct
identity.
Procedure (web-based user interface):
- Open the web-based user interface by entering the IP address for ML Gateway.
The default IP address is
192.168.1.10
.
- Choose
INFO.
- Check the serial number is correct for ML Gateway.
Procedure (command line interface):
- Open Telnet.
(For Telnet information please refer to ‘Additional information’ page 4.2.).
- Type info and press enter.
Customer setup
- Remember to restore the product to the customer setup. If PCB52, Digi module
has been replaced, be sure to upload the customer data from the backup file (if
available) by using the
Load configuration
tool, and then applying the loaded
configuration (TEST -> SAVE).
- Reconnect the required cables and check that the setup is working properly.
Clean the product
Never user alcohol or other solvents to clean any part of the product.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the surfaces of the product.
