Adjustments after replacing PCBs in the plasma panel
To remove PCBs, wait 1 minute after disconnecting from the mains for discharge
of the electolytic capacitors.
Set the plasma panel to receive a picture.
Note! If a plasma panel is displaying a non-moving picture for more than
approx. 30 minutes the picture will be burnt into the plasma screen.
For adjustments use a multi meter in DC position. Connect the black measuring
wire to the chassis on the plasma panel if nothing else mentioned.
On the chassis there is a small label where the adjustment voltages for Vsus, Ve,
Vbk and Vad are written.
For adjustment and test point location please see page 5.61.
Use a non conductive tool for adjustment.
Power Supply (P1/3)
Connect the red wire from the DC meter to TPVsus and adjust R625 to the Vsus
value written on the label ±1 V.
Connect the red wire from the DC meter to TPVbk and adjust R498 to the Vbk
value written on the label ±1 V.
Connect the red wire from the DC meter to TPVda and adjust R519 to 67 V ±1 V.
Connect the red wire from the DC meter to connector P4 pin 1 and the black wire
to P4 pin 3. Adjust R426 to 400 V ±1 V.
Scan drive (SC)
Connect the red wire from the DC meter to TPVad and adjust R6477 (is called
R477 in the printing) to the Vad value written on the label ±1 V.
Sustain drive (SS)
Connect the red wire from the DC meter to TPVe and adjust R6774 to the Ve
value written on the label ±1 V.
Adjustments after replacing the lower electrical chassis
Important!
When replacing the lower electrical chassis including PCB6, Main Microcomputer,
to avoid loss of data the old EEPROM 6IC6 must be moved to the new PCB6.
At the shield of PCB6 there is a small label where the adjustment values for Rdr,
Gdr, Bdr, Bri, Con and COLOF are written. These values must be written into the
old EEPROM.
