What’s on the RECORDING DURATION
menu…
The RECORDING DURATION menu allows you to
set a default length for manual recordings. This
means that you do not have to be present to end
a manual recording at the proper time. Use the
number buttons to set the default recording
duration. Press GO when done.
What’s on the CONNECTIONS menu…
Register any product you have connected to the
hard disc recorder: a set-top box (STB), a video
tape recorder (V.TAPE), a DVD player (DVD), a
decoder (DECODER) or other equipment (V.AUX).
Press to highlight the product you have
connected, and press
GO
to store the setting. If
you select STB, you must fi nd your particular set-
top box in a list.
Any equipment you have connected to the AUX
socket on the hard disc recorder must be
registered in the hard disc recorder’s
CONNECTIONS menu – not the television’s! For
further information about how to register
connected equipment, refer to the chapter
‘Preference settings’ on page 38.
What’s on the REPLAY menu…
The REPLAY setting determines when the hard disc
recorder starts copying an ongoing programme to
the replay buffer. Options are BASIC and
EXTENDED. Basic replay starts copying to the
buffer when you pause an ongoing program.
Extended replay starts copying to the buffer as
soon as you choose a source, such as V.TUNER.
For further information about replay, refer to the
chapter
‘Pause and replay an ongoing program’
on page 10.
This menu is only available if you have set
FEATURE LEVEL to ADVANCED in the SETUP menu.
