900MHz BACnet Gateway/Receiver

Gateway Network Setup continued...

DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD

 (Fig 6)

The Gateway can transmit its data

via various methods, including HTTP

GET, HTTP POST and BACnet/IP.

HTTP GET:

To use this option, select

the radio button next to HTTP GET

method and enter the Web server

host, port and URI.  Click the “Save

Configuration” button to save your updates.

HTTP POST:

To use this option, select the radio button next to HTTP POST method and enter the Web server host,

port and URI. For WAM Remote, use Web server host: https://wam.bapihvac.com, using port: 443 and URI: /api/data.

For WAM Local, use Web server host: (IP address of computer running the WAM Local application), using port: 9000

and  URI: /api/data.  Click the “Save Configuration” button to save your updates.

BACnet/IP:

Select the radio button next to this option, and enter the BACnet device ID that you would like to use.

BACnet ID can have a value of 1 to 4026531839 and is created using digits 0-9 only.  Click the “Save Configuration”

button to save your updates.

NO READING TIMEOUT AFTER INTERVAL TIME

 (Fig 7)

This option sets the amount of time the Gateway will wait for a sensor reading

before it reports to BACnet that the sensor is “out-of-service”. The “out-of-

service” status is shown in the sensor’s “status-flags” variable and the sensor

is given a temperature value of -200.  If the Transmission Interval of the

sensors is set at 5 minutes, and the No Reading Timeout After Interval Time is

set at 10 minutes, then this option will not be activated until 15 minutes after

the last successful transmission was received.

UPDATED GATEWAY VERSION

 (Fig 8)

BAPI will periodically release updates to the Gateway software. Go to the BAPI

website and navigate to the Gateway page, then follow instructions to check

for new software and download it to your local computer.  Once the software is

downloaded, click the “Choose File” button and use the file browser to select

the update file.  When the file is selected, its name will show up on the screen.
Once the file is selected, click the “Update Gateway” button.  The update

will install on the Gateway, and it will reboot automatically so that the changes can take effect. This can take up to 5

minutes at which point the Gateway will disappear from the Gateway Discovery Tool Screen. It will return once the

reboot has been successful.

SET TIME ZONE, DATE AND TIME

 (Fig 9)

The Gateway is set up to use the time and date that are broadcast on

the network that it is attached to.  If the Gateway time and date are not

automatically set up, you can make a manual correction to the date and time.

To do this you must first turn off logging on all devices, then set the Gateway

time. Once the time is set, device logging can be turned back on where

needed.
Use the “Time Zone”, “Month, Day, Year”, and “Hour, Minute, Second” pull

down lists to select the correct time and zone, and then click “Set Zone Date

Time” to save changes.
