• Automatic Phase: The image should contain sharp black-white
transitions, like a line pattern or characters.
• Automatic Gain: The image should contain parts that are
completely black (0% video amplitude) and parts that are full
white (100% video amplitude).
Video Contrast
This menu is not available in DVI mode.
Video contrast adjusts the brightest elements in the
image
on the
screen, while the darkest elements are not adjusted.
Note:
Adjusting video contrast may affect the number of
grayscales in the image. Therefore we advise to leave video
contrast in calibrated position.
Video Brightness
This menu is not available in DVI mode.
Video brightness adjusts all levels in the
image
on the screen, from dark
to bright.
Note:
Adjusting video brightness may affect the number of
grayscales in the image. Therefore we advise to leave video
brightness in calibrated position.
Instead, if you feel the image is too bright or too dark, try adjusting the
Luminance (see further).
