4. Connecting an IR Remote Receiver 800 to the
Retro Projector.
This infrared red receiver unit makes it possible to control the retro
projector from another room (see options chapter 11.)
There is a communication line cable between the IR receiver and the
projector or the RCVDS. The control information from the RCU can
now be sent to the IR Remote Receiver 800.
The IR Remote Receiver 800 displays the selected source on a 7-
segment display.

3. Connecting a VS05 to the Retro Projector.
The VS05 is a versatile Video and HDTV source selector for all
Barco's digitally controlled retro projectors. It offers the possibility
to connect and switch up to 5 Composite Video sources and 3 Super
Video sources and 1 RGB analog source. In addition, the audio signal
proper to the source, can be switched to an audio amplifier. The RGB
analog source - directly connected to the projector - can be of
standard or HDTV frequency (in case of HDTV-compatible projec-
tors) or Component Video (for projectors with Component Video
input).
- Connect the audio output to the default input 'AUDIO IN A'.

PROJECTOR - VS05 CONNECTIONS.
Power down the projector before starting the connections.
Data communication connection.
Use a D9-D9 link cable to connect the VS05 to the projector.

Plug the male D9 connector of the D9-D9 link cable into the female D9
connector labelled 'COMM PORT' of the VS05.
Plug the female D9 connector of the D9-D9 link cable into the male D9
connector labelled 'COMM port' on the rear panel of the projector.
RCVDS05 to PROJECTOR Signal connection.
-Connect the video output of the RCVDS05 to the video input of the
projector using a coaxial cable with BNC connectors.
-Connect the S-Video output of the RCVDS05 to the S-Video input
of the projector using a 4-wire coaxial cable with 4 pin plugs.
-Connect the Red, Green, Blue, H/S sync and V sync outputs of the
RCVDS05 to the Red, Green, Blue, H/S sync and V sync inputs of
PORT 5
of the projector using coaxial cable with BNC connectors.
- Connect the audio output to the default input 'AUDIO IN A'.
