Both switch inputs should not be electrically interconnected in any way. An electrical connection between the
switches will be seen as an interlock open situation.
The connector (reference 3 Image 3-9) for the external interlocks can be found behind the mains input
compartment door. It is in the form of a 10 pole screw type removable terminal block (reference 5 Image 3-9).
There are three cable glands (reference 4 Image 3-9) at the base of the mains compartment for the cabling of
the external interlock devices.
The projector is shipped with a connector of which the external beam enable key and the 2 external interlocks
are bypassed. Before connecting an external interlock the appropriate shunt wires (reference 6 Image 3-9)
should be removed and replaced by the interlock wiring.

CAUTION:
The need for installing external safety interlocks is the responsibility of the Safety Officer
and depends on the installed application and local regulations.
WARNING:
The connector with shunt wires is delivered with the projector but not installed. The
Safety Officer of the boot area must decide either if the connector with shunt wires can be installed
or if external safety interlocks must be installed.
The external safety interlocks used must be of the type 'micro load' and must be approved interlocks
for safety applications. In order to achieve the highest reliability level of safety; employ only SIL level
4 (according IEC 62061) dual normal open contact or performance level Ple (according IEC 13849-
1) dual normal open contact devices.
