SHROUD OVERVIEW- 240 & 260
Your BARKO 240 & 260 Harvester is equipped with shrouding loaded with convenient access
doors and panels, compartments, and work platforms.
Ÿ
Perform a daily walk around to ensure the machine’s shrouding (access doors, panels, work
platforms) is clean and free from debris and obstructions.

Make sure all decals are clearly visible. (See

2 SHROUDING DOORS, ACCESS PANELS, COMPARTMENTS, & WORK PLATFORMS
The Gullwing Door located on the RH side of the machine is the main access for the Engine and
other machine components.
When open, the Gullwing Door doubles as a work platform. See
Gullwing Door Operation section for instructions later in this chapter.
2.1 Gullwing & Front Access Door (Fig-1)
The Front Access Door located
on the RH side front of the
machine is the access for the
Master Disconnect Switch (on
240 & 260 models), and controls
to operate the Gullwing Door
and the Cab Slide function.

2.2 Engine & Hydraulic Cooler Access Doors & Fueling Platform (Fig-2)
Ÿ
The bottom door opens
downward and doubles as a
work and fueling platform.
Ÿ
The top door swings open
towards the rear of the
machine. Open to gain access
to the upper portion of the
cooler.
The doors located on the LH
side of the machine behind the
Cab Door is the access for the
Engine and Hydraulic Cooler.
Pull and turn latches to open
doors.
Turn latches and push in to secure
doors in place.
